This course provides hands-on training in troubleshooting and configuring advanced features on Check Point Security Gateway software blades and Gaia. Through this course students will troubleshoot advanced features such as chain modules, NAT, VPN, IPS and IPv6.
Students should have had CCSE training or possess equivalent knowledge. In addition, students should have a solid understanding of networking concepts, Microsoft Windows, Linux, and certificate management.
Through classroom exercises and hands-on labs, students will learn:
Configuration and troubleshooting of chain modules, NAT, and IPv6.
How to setup and debug ClusterXL, SecureXL, and CoreXL.
About optimizing Check Point Gateway functions, such as VPN and the rule base.
How to tune IPS for performance and false positive reduction.
About identifying and configuring advanced VPN concepts, like VTI and OSPF (route-based VPN), and directional VPN rule matching.
